Once Again
it’s time to go,
this is the end
another life
is put to bed
the sudden shock as he was took away
cancer picks the most precious of prey
you say goodbye
you walk the aisle
tears fill your eyes
you choke a smile
at memories that flood back to your mind
they’ll slowly fade away along with time
just like time
it’s something, unexpected
deep down you feel rejected one more time
once again, once again, once again
one more life is taken
you feel like you’re forsaken by God divine
once again, once again
the days pass by
they feel like weeks
your eyes pour tears
you never sleep
as you struggle to grasp reality
you turn to God, your soul screams ‘Lord, why me?’
it’s something….
somewhere outthere
long time ago
a father feels
more pain than you know
as his son is beat and nailed onto a cross
God’s greatest gift and too his greatest loss
