I’m apalled - Your Response Is Needed!
Okay, it’s not very often something appalls me as a Christian so much that I go onto a rant but here we go, I have just discovered a website called Blasphemy Challenge (blasphemychallenge.com)
Here is their challenge video:
If you didn’t watch it let me tell you what it’s about, these athiests, who hate religion, especially Christianity caught on that Mark says blasphemy against the holy spirit damns you straight to hell so they are challenging mainly Young People to denounce the Holy Spirit on video, upload it to youtube and just to top it off they are then giving each person who does it a free DVD!
I don’t think I have ever been so shocked, www.standforchrist.org is a website which has sprung up against this website and includes this interview with the man in charge of blasphemy challenge
Basically in this TV interview the man in charge accuses Christianity of forcings it’s views on young people who don’t want it and they offer a chance to rebel, the irony is the double standards, they are far more tempting and indoctrinating to young people than Christianity will ever be, we don’t offer free dvd’s to people who become Christians!
Oddly enough the Blasphemy Challenge website has no contact details on, but a quick WHOIS search gives you this

Ar man, this is fantastic, it really makes me smile and tells me all is well with the world - or its as normal as ever it is.
Firstly, whats the point. If the Holy Spirit doesn’t exist what a waste of time doing a “you tube” saying so - pathetic really.
Secondly, taking it literally, it means if in the past I said “Holy Spirit doesn’t exist” does mean I am condemened to hell. No. (by saying it here have I blasphemed too and am going to hell???)
Thirdly - money money money. Its all about making money i am sure.
Lets go and help the homeless, heal the suffering, feed the hungry and not get into meaningless debates like this…. please….
Yes the site itself is probably a waste of time and they probably have the verse out of context and from his tv interviews about as much biblical understanding as a dead pidgeon, however the pricipal of the website is what I have a problem with, trying to promote hate towards Christians and targeting young people
I thought that blasphemy against the Spirit was if you were already a Christian? If you just say the words it doesn’t really count. I guess the Harry Potter equivalent would be saying the aveda kadavera curse without force or meaning. There is no power in it.
